Sure...feel free to buy a water heater for $500 at Home Depot. You can even get someone to install it off Craigslist. And sure—on paper, that sounds like a deal.

Until it leaks. Or vents wrong. Or fails under pressure. And then your insurance company takes one look and says, “No permit? No inspection? No coverage.”

Here’s the deal - bad installs are DANGEROUS:

💥If the pressure relief valve isn’t set right? Boom.

💥If the venting’s wrong? Poison in the air.

💥No expansion tank? Pipe rupture.

💥Drain pan missing or mis-piped? Water damage.

And guess who checks for all that? The inspector which only happens if someone pulls a permit.

Permits and inspections aren’t red tape. They’re a safety system there to protect YOU. They make sure:

✔ The install was done correctly

✔ The gas lines are safe

✔ The venting won’t kill you in your sleep

✔ And if anything ever goes wrong, your insurance company won’t bail on you

Here’s what people don’t realize: Permits are no big deal. We handle all of it and then you get a letter in the mail and you call the inspector when it’s convenient, they stop by, check the install, and boom—you’re done. You're safe.

We’re Hammond Plumbing. We’ve got 30 years of Master Plumber experience, we pull the permit, handle the install, haul away the old tank, and get it done in a couple hours.

We price our jobs using the same books the big companies do—then cut those numbers in half. On purpose. Because fairness shouldn't be rare. And peace of mind shouldn't cost extra.
